Tell him it’s the Freakin’ Super Bowl!! You are going to get trashed and party late into the night. You will not be productive come Monday 8am.
Just put in for a vacation day. If you don’t have vacation, then just ask him for a day off without pay.

If your boss is cool and he knows you like football and partying, then just ask. If he’s not cool, then try to switch w/ a co-worker, vacation day, day-off w/o pay, call in sick, or QUIT. Just Kidding. Unless your a Colt/Bear fan. Then I’m dead serious.
