I am a Realtor.
What is your goals? If they are to buy and sell your own property then becoming a Realtor is going to cost you yearly fees and a lot of upfront fees – although in the long run if you actually do sell properties you will save tons of money on commission, and you do get many opportunities of seeing properties as soon as they hit the market. And after a few years you can become your own Broker and keep 100% of the commission on the listing side.
If you are investing – hooking up with a trusting Realtor will be of great help in finding properties.
Carlton Sheets, John Beck, Laura Langmeyer – all a waste of money.
You can prep for the licensing course, but whether you have the stuff to be a Realtor is a different deal. You have to be able to think on the fly, solve problems, talk to people, market yourself constantly, work when you don’t want to, and have a ton of self-discipline since you are basically your own business.
They are all very real. Flip this house, blah blah blah. The difference is you are paying for what they know. which could be valuable.
