Traveling to Portland Oregon in May 2009, looking for a cabin rental and tips for the trip.?

I will be traveling to Portland Oregon in May of 2009 and would like to rent a cabin for a week. Ideally I would love to find a location not far from the city so that I can enjoy the outdoors during the day and the music scene at night. This is my first trip to the area and I am looking to make the most of it. Any tips would be helpful!

There are vacation homes in Portland, but you would have to be pretty far out from the city for a cabin. The coast and mt. hood are about an hour and a half away, you could find cabins there.
I’ve included a link to some homes in Portland that are available for rent on a weekly basis.

For activities during your stay, check out our Visitor center, or our Twisitor center if you are on Twitter, by following @TravelPortland

    Enjoy!

umm there are not really cabins here. there are hotels and stuff but no cabins, you would have to go to a forest area to rent a cabin. but i suggest a hotel or motel.
